The Guild and Kaiser met in Oakland on Thursday (9/24/2015).
After 4 months of negotiations with Kaiser, we are happy to announce that the Guild and Kaiser have reached a tentative agreement for the Collective Bargaining Agreement effective June 1st, 2015 through May 31st, 2018.
There are no takeaways in pension, Kaiser medical benefits, or CE benefits.
This Agreement gives excellent wage increases, improvement in retirement medical benefit, and improvement in active member dental benefit.
Every active pharmacist (including Regular benefited full and part time, short-hour, and on-call pharmacists) will receive a one-time $1,000 contract extension bonus as soon as practicable after the Agreement is ratified.
There are also restrictions on registry use (also known as outside relief agency use). Kaiser has agreed to limit registry use and to settle the grievance and the unfair labor practice charge. Kaiser has also agreed to a settlement which will result in a substantial payment to every active pharmacist (including Regular benefited full and part time, short-hour, and on-call pharmacists).
To view the summary page of all the tentative agreements, please visit the Guild’s website at: www.gfpp.com to sign-in to the Northern California members-only area for details.
